June 3, 2021 – Huntington Beach, California: An alleged DUI driver killed bicyclist John Crouch, a 68-year-old male, in Huntington Beach at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and First Street on Thursday, May 27, 2021. The DUI driver was traveling in a 2007 silver Toyota Yaris.

Huntington Beach Police responded to the scene shortly after the collision around 1:30 p.m. After the incident, the driver of the 2007 silver Toyota Yaris, a Bloomington resident, remained at the scene to cooperate with Huntington Beach Police officers.
The 68-year-old male Huntington Beach bicyclist, John Crouch, was transported via ambulance to the hospital after the collision. He was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
The alleged DUI driver who killed bicyclist John Crouch was subsequently arrested following the collision for suspicion of driving under the influence. At this time, Huntington Beach Police have not released the name of the driver of the 2007 silver Toyota Yaris.
